The West Mill
The West Mill may possibly be one of my all time favourite wedding venues to photograph. Why, I hear you ask - the unique industrial style venue provides the perfect backdrop for all your wedding photos no matter the weather! Plus the staff are super friendly and the food is amazing.
The Dressing Room
A spacious and stylish dressing room for you pre-ceremony preparations. It's furnished with bespoke furniture and huge mirrors which makes for the best "getting ready" photographs.
The Cotton Quarter
The exposed brick walls, original blue brick tiled floors, cast iron beams and unique cast iron ceiling make this an extra special space to host your wedding ceremony. Civil ceremonies take place at the southern end of the room and teamed with the beautiful natural light cascading in from the Georgian paned windows, The Cotton Quarter creates the most romantic backdrop for your wedding ceremony and makes for stunning photos!
The Breakfast Room
Whilst enjoying a delicious wedding breakfast prepared by The West Mill's in-house caterers, your wedding guests will be able to admire the original barrel-vaulted arches, exposed brickwork and the Georgian paned windows which create a dramatic yet romantic backdrop for your photographs.
The Spinning Room
The Spinning Room offers the perfect party space and photo background for you and your guests, from the fully stocked industrial style bar to the vintage booth seating seating, this dedicated floor creates a relaxed atmosphere to dance the night away.
The grounds of The West Mill run alongside the banks of the River Derwent and provides endless romantic backdrops for your wedding photographs. You'll be spoilt for choice!
Raining? No problem
If the weather gods aren't on your side on your big day, do not fear. The West Mill has SO many photo opportunities inside you will not be disapointed!
