A Fashion-Led Pre-Wedding Beach Photoshoot in Biarritz, France
Biarritz has a way of making everything feel a little more cinematic. The soft, hazy light, the rhythm of the waves, the raw beauty of the coastline - it’s the kind of place that naturally lends itself to something more editorial. This pre-wedding shoot was all about capturing that feeling.
Rather than approaching it in a traditional way, we leaned into a fashion-inspired direction - creating imagery that feels elevated, effortless, and deeply connected. A space where the couple could simply be together, while I documented it in a way that feels both modern and timeless.
More Than a Pre-Wedding Shoot
Pre-wedding shoots are often seen as a warm-up, but I see them as something much more meaningful. They’re a chance to slow down. To step away from timelines and expectations, and just spend time together - without pressure. It allows you to get comfortable in front of the camera, to understand how I work, and to feel completely at ease before your wedding day.
And when you remove that pressure, something shifts. The images become softer, more natural, more you.
Movement, Connection & The In-Between
We embraced movement throughout the shoot - running along the shoreline, letting the sea wash over bare feet, allowing moments to unfold without interruption. It’s always those in-between frames that hold the most magic. The laughter, the glances, the way you instinctively reach for each other.
Nothing overly posed. Just honest connection, captured with intention.
The mix of black and white and soft colour tones added another layer - timeless, emotive, and quietly powerful.
Editorial Styling by the Sea
The styling brought everything together in a way that felt effortlessly refined. A modern, embellished gown that caught the light with every movement, paired with an open back and delicate braided detail - subtle but striking. It felt like a nod to bridal fashion, without losing that relaxed, coastal ease.
The groom’s look balanced it perfectly - understated, slightly undone, and quietly confident.
Together, it created that contrast I’m always drawn to: polished yet relaxed, fashion-led but still deeply authentic.
Thoughtful Details, Elevated Setting
We introduced sculptural ice elements set within glassware along the shoreline, adding a contemporary edge - like a fleeting installation against the softness of the sea. These details weren’t there to overpower the moment, but to enhance it. To bring in texture, light, and a sense of intentional design that ties everything together.
Why Pre-Wedding Shoots Matter
This shoot is exactly why I love pre-wedding sessions. They give you space to connect - not just with each other, but with the experience of being photographed. By the time your wedding day arrives, it all feels familiar. Easy. Natural.
And that’s when the most beautiful, honest images happen.
My Approach
My approach will always be rooted in storytelling, with a strong influence from fashion and editorial photography. I’m drawn to movement, to light, to the small, fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. But more than anything, I want your images to feel like you.
Relaxed. Stylish. Emotional. Effortless.
Whether it’s a destination pre-wedding shoot in Biarritz or your wedding day itself, the intention is always the same - capturing your story in a way that feels elevated, modern, and completely true.
If you’re planning your own pre-wedding shoot or destination wedding and feel drawn to this kind of imagery, I’d love to hear more about your plans. You can get in touch here to start the conversation.
