Couples shoot - yes or no?

pre wedding couples shoot at golden hour happy relaxed bride and groom to be in derbyshire

Couple shoots are the perfect way we can get to know one another prior to your wedding day. We'll hang out, have a laugh and create some awesome images whilst we're at it. So here's some of my tips and tricks!

1. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

Having a pre wedding shoot means you have an opportunity to get used to being in front of the camera without the pressure of it being your wedding day! By the end of the session you'll feel like a pro and I'm sure any nerves you may have had will have melted away.

2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

Do you have a special place that you love to visit together? Or do you want to explore somewhere new? I'll be more than happy to help you pick a location if you're feeling a little stumped but luckily living near the Peaks we seem to be spoilt for choice. Or how about a little trip into the city? Whatever floats your boat!

3. WHAT TO WEAR?

Wear whatever makes you feel you. Whether that be a fancy dress or a coat and wellies! Neutral colour palettes tend to work best if you’d like to get the most out of your photographs. Think beiges, creams, whites, khaki etc. I do suggest not to wear t-shirts with large logos, or busy clashing patterns etc as these can be a huge distraction!

4. HAVE FUN!

Take some time out from wedding planning and let's make some memories. You could even incorporate these images onto your wedding stationary if you fancied?! You'll definitely never regret having a pre wedding couple shoot but you may very well regret NOT having one...
